Deployments allow you to organize policies and metrics into logical groups based on your specific use cases.

What is a Deployment?

A deployment is a container for policies and metrics that share a common purpose. When you make an API call to check content, White Circle evaluates the content against all policies and metrics in the deployment.

Group Policies

Combine multiple policies and metrics that should be evaluated together

Environment Isolation

Create separate deployments for development, staging, and production

Common Deployment Patterns

Create different deployments for different user age groups:
  • Under 18: Stricter policies including CSAM detection, explicit content filtering
  • Adults: Standard content policies with fewer restrictions
Vary moderation strictness based on user subscription:
  • Free tier: Comprehensive moderation with all policies enabled
  • Premium tier: Relaxed policies for trusted users
Different deployments for different regulatory requirements:
  • EU deployment: GDPR-compliant policies
  • US deployment: Standard policies
Separate deployments for different parts of your application:
  • Chat moderation: Policies for real-time conversations
  • Content upload: Policies for user-generated content
Use separate deployments for live traffic and offline analysis:
  • Production: Battle-tested policies optimized for your real-time moderation needs
  • Offline evaluation: Experimental policies for running batch analysis on historical datasets, A/B testing new rules, or benchmarking policy changes before rolling them out
